“200+行的内核补丁被Linus Torvalds称赞为“a killer feature”。 补丁的作者是Mike Galbrai，他刚刚发布了第三个修正版。该补丁为内核的调度器加入了224行代码，同时去除9行代码，起作用的代码总共233行。补丁的用途是设计自动为每个TTY创建任务组，降低延迟改进桌面交互性能。

Ubuntu 10.10的首个Alpha版正式发布，代号为Maverick Meerkat。
