Ubuntu 8.04 Beta 发布

Ubuntu 项目团队在今天公布了 Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (长期支持) 的 Beta 测试版。Ubuntu 8.04 开发代号为“Hardy Heron”，提供桌面和服务器版本。秉承 Ubuntu 的开发理念，Ubuntu 8.04 将最新最好的开源技术整合进了这个易用的 Linux 发行版。

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the beta release of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Long-Term Support) on desktop and server. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop edition features incremental improvements to familiar applications, with an emphasis on stability for this second Ubuntu long-term support release, and is easier than ever to try out with the new Wubi installer. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS server follows in the footsteps of Ubuntu 7.10 with even more virtualization support and security enhancements – enabling AppArmor for more applications by default, improving protection of kernel memory against attacks, and supporting KVM and iSCSI technologies out of the box.” More info in the release announcement, release notes.
